Did I sleep? Where did I go to the bathroom? Did I run the entire time? Was I alone? Why pickles?

I sit down to answer your most pressing questions about #Rim2Rim2Rim, open up the HUGE box of goodies @mtolivepickles 🥒 sent me, and wrap up with a heart-to-heart with @irielili ahead of her 30th birthday!! 🎉🎂🥂

Here are some short answers to a few of the questions I answered in the IG Live. Listen to the full thing to hear me elaborate in detail on my responses.

Was it a race?

No. A race is an organized and timed event. I organized this on my own and chose when I wanted to do it. I was under no time limit (although I hoped to be done within 24 hours).

Did you go alone?

I did but I knew there would be others out there. I was alone for the first 8 or so miles and then began meshing with random hikers and runners. At mile 14 I began chatting with a man from Canada who was also doing R2R2R. We ended up becoming buddies and stuck together for the rest of the adventure (shout out to Adam if you're reading this)!

Where did you go to the bathroom?

Surprisingly, there are restrooms along the trail! They are at the trailheads and campgrounds. Some of them have running drinking water depending on the time of year that you go.

Was it scary running alone in the dark?

Not at all! I feel safer running in the dark on a trail than I do running in the daylight on the streets of Los Angeles.

Did you sleep?

Nope!

Why pickles?

I mean... why not? They are DELICIOUS! Pickles are also mini secret weapons for ultra running and long distance adventures! The vinegar helps prevent muscle cramps and the sodium aids in hydration.

My last run across the Grand Canyon and back raised $2,500 for Lili's fight! We are now $12,500 away from my initial goal of $15,000. I am brainstorming another mission to help raise more money. Where should it be? Feel free to reach out to me on social media with ideas!
